I run scentwork classes, mantrailing, 1-to-1 sessions and Scent Adventures around Essex and Hertfordshire.
You don’t need an impeccably trained dog, loads of experience or even much of an idea what you’re doing yet. That’s what I’m here for. We keep things relaxed, work with the dog in front of us and, most importantly, enjoy it.

We teach dogs to search for a specific scent and gradually make the searches more interesting and challenging.
You can start as a complete beginner and progress at your own pace. It’s a great way to work together, build confidence and give that nose and brain something useful to do.

FOLLOW A SCENT. FIND THE STORY.
Mantrailing teaches your dog to follow the individual scent of a person and work out where they’ve gone. Think hide and seek for dogs, powered by their nose!
Sessions are kept small, with a maximum of five dogs, and each dog works individually before relaxing in the car between trails. That means dogs who need a little more space can often take part too.
Beginners are very welcome, and you don’t need to have done scentwork first.
It's very addictive. 🐾
Sessions are PAYG at £28 per dog. Simply choose a date and location that suits you and book your place online.

Scent Adventures are one-to-one training sessions where I take your dog out and do the training for you.
We can work on training you’re already doing at home, tackle something they need extra help with, or give a busy, high-energy dog a proper outlet.
For dogs who love to work, I can also build scentwork into the session, giving their brain as much to do as their legs.

TAILORED TRAINING FOR INDIVIDUAL DOGS.
Not every dog is comfortable in a group, and that doesn’t mean they have to miss out.
I offer individual scentwork sessions for reactive dogs, dogs who find group environments difficult, or dogs whose circumstances simply mean a private session suits them better.
Every session is built around the dog in front of me, so we can work at their pace and focus on what they need.
One of my regular 1-to-1 dogs has epilepsy, and scentwork has become one of his favourite things to do.

I’m the dog trainer behind Scentdog.
I’ve been training dogs for many years, and started the Scentdog shop in 2020 after getting into scentwork with my own dogs and struggling to find all the equipment I wanted in one place.
These days the shop and training side go hand in hand. What I learn working with dogs and handlers helps shape the equipment I stock, the kits I put together and the way I train.
I like practical training, real dogs and finding what works for the individual in front of me.
